Ensuring Google Chrome is configured to support the Waymark video player

Make sure that a required Chrome setting is enabled

While there are a number of general tips for making sure your system can run the Waymark video player, Chrome in particular has a setting that must be enabled to support the advanced graphics technology required. Follow the steps below to make sure that the correct setting, “Use hardware acceleration when available”, is turned on.

  • Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of your Chrome browser and select 'Settings'

  • In 'Settings', click ‘Advanced’ in the panel on the left

  • Below 'Advanced, click ‘System’

  • Make sure that 'Use hardware acceleration when available' is on (it should be blue, as pictured below)

  • Relaunch Chrome
